The roots of the business reach back to 1957, when Ioannis and Konstantina Papakyriakou founded a family business trading crop protection products in Velo Corinthia.

In 1988, their son, Dimitrios Papakyriakos, a graduate of the Physics department of EKPA and of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (specializing in soil science and plant nutrition), took over the business.

In 2001 the company moved to privately owned facilities of 460m² on a plot of 3,200m² on the PEO Athens-Patras, in Velo Corinth.

In 2009, the cultivation of table grapes begins in the area of Poulitsa, Corinthia. Cultivation was on the DNA of the other side of the family. Back in time, George Spyropoulos cultivated a variety of fruits and in his original land FertiLab began its cultivation journey. With steady steps the business expanded, and today approximately 8 acres are cultivated with a yield of over 300 tons of exportable product.

In 2011, FertiLab took another step forward by creating of a fully equipped soil laboratory, which covered both the needs for routine analyses (soil, leaves, fertilizers), as well as the needs for research and experimentation.

Finally, the accumulated experience of the market’s needs, the knowledge on the subject and the love for research and experimentation, guided us to the creation of innovative fertilizer formulations, initially for application to the privately owned crops and then for their production and distribution in the wider market. These fertilizers were tested years before they were out on the market, in order to achieve the desired quality.

FertiLab, therefore, began its course as a family business in a small, predominantly rural Corinthian area. An area famous for its agricultural products, with a particular emphasis on table grapes. In this climate FertiLab was created and now it is making leaps in the industry.. .We are moving forward with you to better and bigger things!
